This World No Tobacco Day, Spread Awareness with Giveaways

World Tobacco Day, which falls on May 31st, is one of the eight official public health campaigns marked by WHO. Every year, federal government and private organizations come up with several anti-smoking campaigns to draw global attention towards the health hazards of smoking.

In the US alone, each year, around 400,000 individuals die from tobacco usage*. In fact, passive or second hand smoke is equally injurious to health. It accounts for almost 50,000 deaths in the US each year. Around 300,000 children suffer from tobacco-induced ailments such as bronchitis, ear infections and pneumonia.

Today, a lot of companies have stepped forward with anti-smoking campaigns to dissuade their employees from using tobacco. Several seminars, marches, demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions are conducted on World Tobacco Day. You too can contribute by distributing promotional gifts at campaigns run by your company.
