UPIC stands for Universal Promotional Identification Code. If you are selling promotional products or your customers are seeking for them, then you need a UPIC identifier. With a UPIC code the distributor is immediately recognized by the suppliers. The Universal Promotional Identification Code is the promotional products industry’s free and elaborate online identification system.

PPAI and Physician Payments Sunshine Act S. 301

PPAI members have decided to oppose the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, U.S. S. 301, a Senate bill that could actually ban distribution of promotional items to healthcare pros. Physician Payments Sunshine Act S. 301 is a bill to amend title XI of the Social Security Act to provide for transparency in the relationship between physicians and manufacturers of drugs, devices, biologicals, or medical supplies for which payment is made under Medicare, Medicaid, or SCHIP. 

PPAI stands for Promotional Products Association International. It’s a trade organization for suppliers and distributors in the promotional products industry

2009 Promo Survey

Promo magazine covers almost every aspect of promotional industry stuff such as latest trends, important issues and news. It has released it latest P&I; survey for this year. There is quite a lot of interesting stuff in this. According to this report around 38% of companies offer a promotional giveaway/ gift to their customers. This is bit less compared to the last year’s statistics. 

In terms of budget, 15.5% respondents said they expect to spend less than $5,000 on customer promotions this year. Last year it was around 13.6%
